Add some greenery to your bathroom!
The symmetry between bathrooms and greenery is undeniable. And in this compact bathroom (pictured) – oversized tiles, space-saving Kohler bathroom fixtures and an abundance of foliage create an oasis of calm and serenity.
With space at a premium, hexagonal 600mm tiles in white, dove- grey and charcoal were combined with clever, technology-rich fixtures from Kohler to create an area that is high on style while low on space!
There are several key elements to the perceived increase in space – wall hung furniture, in-wall toilet cistern, ceiling-mount showerhead with Katalyst technology, and large scale tiles (that reduce the visual ‘noise’ of lots of grout lines).
The kauri-topped wall mount vanity is enhanced by an understated square white Forefront basin plus Purist wall-mount polished chrome mixer tap – both by Kohler. Wall-mount fixtures are essential to the look – the more floor space that is visible, the bigger the space appears to be.
A huge space-saver in this bathroom is the sleek, wall mount Ove toilet with concealed in-wall cistern. While offering complete comfort and convenience this toilet protrudes just 540mm from the wall, instead of the usual 600mm or more for conventional toilet suites – and has a soft close seat and lid!
The spacious, uncluttered showering area has been enhanced by the use of a ceiling mount shower – albeit one with very clever technology. The Kohler RainCan features Katalyst technology whereby 2.2 litres of air is introduced into every 9.4 litres of water – creating larger, fuller water droplets that retain heat longer. The resulting experience is a drenching, luxurious, all enveloping deluge of rain-shower proportions.
Even the green wall has its own showering arrangements – the versatile Awaken Slide Shower offers three unique sprays – the ferns prefer the full coverage spray followed by the drenching spray!
All accessories are from the Kohler Singulier collection – a simple, streamlined design that underpins the zen-like style of this bathroom.
And to complete? Just add water! AND PLANTS!
