Karbon – The new benchmark in kitchen tap design

A new-generation kitchen mixer tap has broken fresh ground in terms of functionality and art form, delivering unrivalled flexibility and reach while creating a sculptural focal point at every turn!

Karbon has at last reached these shores – an articulated polished chrome kitchen mixer tap with a design like no other. Three articulated, pivoting joints and a reach of more than 330mm enable the water flow to be placed exactly where it is needed, inside or outside the sink.

Designed by Kohler, a global leader in kitchen and bathroom design and technology, the Karbon mixer was inspired by lighting and construction equipment whose articulated joints enable precision positioning.

Four slender, tubular sections joined by industrial-design articulated joints mean the tap canliterally be positioned exactly where it is needed, and left there.

The versatility and reach of the tap is ideal for filling tall vases and pots, for food preparation and for all cleaning and rinsing tasks.

Each position of the Karbon mixer tap – which will become the focal point of the kitchen – creates a sculptural artform. The Karbon will remain in exactly the position it is left, leaving both hands free for food preparation and cleaning tasks.

And the sleek, deck-mounted joystick – so much easier to grip and manoeuvre than many tap handles – provides precise temperature and flow control. The joystick can be installed to the right or left of the tap, depending on the preference of the consumer.

The tap has both a forceful spray and laminar water flow options accessed at the touch of a button, with the MasterClean™ spray face preventing any mineral build-up.

The innovative use of carbon fibre composite tubing within the tap provides superior strength, a lighter weight to the overall tap and allows for tight movement tolerance. The articulating joints meanwhile, have been engineered to ensure exceptionally smooth and effortless handling and positioning.
